A Christmas Cracker, The Kinema in the Woods Edition

The Kinema in the Woods hosted its annual Christmas Eve special show. This year seats were sold out for the entertainment of the famous Compton Organ (played by Alan Underwood), classic cartoons, sing-a-long, raffle and Father Christmas visit.

It would seem that this is exactly what parents want for their children on Christmas Eve with the big day drawing ever near. The afternoon performance included complimentary mince pies and drinks enjoyed by all ages.

The Kinema in the Woods has been recently awarded the runner up prize in a national award presented by Cottages4You.

A spokesman for cottages4you said: “Kinema in the Woods was recognised for its friendly and welcoming staff as well as its retro charm and appeal.

The well thought of independent cinema has had a thriving year and has been fully converted to Dolby Digital, despite the difficulty of its back screen projection.
