What you need:

  • Can;
  • Can opener;
  • Black card;
  • Black tape;
  • Needle;
  • Scissors;
  • Blue tac;
  • Photographic Paper
  1. Use the can opener to take off the top of the can
  2. Wrap a piece of card around the can and take to make a tube
  3. Roughly cut out a circle and tape to one end of the tube

This will act as a lid that should be light proof

  1. Use a push pin or needle to make the aperture
  2. Go into the darkroom and load paper inside the can
  3. Make sure the aperture is covered with blue tac
  4. Put the lid back on
  5. Ready to shoot!

When doing pinhole photography, keep a log of the light conditions, how long light was exposed and what the results were- this allows for more accurate results!
